Hooked Esports is delighted to announce the signing of Jack “xCeeD” Holiman to our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. xCeeD is known for his time under Dignitas, SoaR, and Armada as well as for being in FPL and ESEA Rank S.

The Hooked Esports Counter-Strike squad saw disappointing results in Seasons 26 and 27 and rebuilt their roster around Evan “Zequate” Ives during the Season 28 preseason. The roster recently saw the addition of Shawn “witmer” Taylor after his brief stint with The Entourage.

“I joined Hooked because I see the potential, and I like the players within the squad,” xCeeD stated after being asked about joining the team. “I look forward to winning my second Main season and dominating. My long term goal with Hooked is to help build a squad to compete at a top level within the ESEA-MDL.”

The Hooked roster currently features a wide range of talent and personalities; from young, untapped potential to well-known and proven players.

“I'm really excited to play with xCeeD. We've known of each other since we first got into the game, and now we're able to compete with each other! I know he'll bring a lot of experience, wisdom, and fragging ability to the squad.” - Evan “Zequate” Ives

With this roster change, Addison “Addy” Iannuzzi will be moving to an alternate/analyst role. The team remains confident in Addy’s abilities and is excited to foster his growth further.

“At a management level, we’re doing everything we can to position our team to secure a spot in MDL as soon as possible while trying to find the right balance of new and veteran talent,” Ryan “Spooky” Barr, President and Co-founder says. “We’re in the business of trying to help grow players and refine raw talent, not buying squads with hopes for immediate returns. With xCeeD and witmer’s professional experiences, we are incredibly confident this roster will make immense progress in the coming months.”

This announcement comes on the heels of a strong LAN victory for the Hooked Esports team at DreamHack Austin 2018, which featured xCeeD alongside Addy and Sean “sm0kE” Powell. That win is the second notable offline tally for the squad after taking 1st Place in 2017’s Denver stop of the DreamHack festival.

With this change, the roster is now:

xCeeD will make his official debut under the Hooked banner on Sunday, June 17th, 2018 in a double header versus ORG-LESS and The Sloppy Raccoons.
